PRODUCTIONS
During the months there are no classes, students sign up to participate in front-of-house duties (ushering, greeting, ticket-taking, etc.) during productions.
Productions are held every three months and run Saturdays and Sundays at 5pm for the entire month.
Although youth participate in The Core free of charge, youth are required to sell a total of 5 VIP tickets for each production, totaling 20 per year, in order to help support program costs. Each VIP ticket includes a free show t-shirt. The VIP tickets are $20 each.
WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?
At the close of their 1-year journey through The Core, the students will be acknowledged in a public gathering called a Consecration Ceremony with friends and family, which is also how they will begin their year with us. The students will present original works that represent what they've learned and their most meaningful experiences throughout the program.
After completing the program, youth are then given the opportunity to apply their newly learned skills on-stage in Overflow Productions. This distinction is made in order to instill the students with the values of hard work, consistency, perseverance, and goal setting and follow-through. In addition, they are eligible to apply to become student teachers in upcoming Core classes and to join existing worship teams in The Heart.
